I examine, illustrate and map out how the world at large works. This is no small task.
I am a former bachelor of medicine who – after quite a lot of sour soul-searching – decided to ditch the medical stuff in favor of art. Luckily, I’ve not come to regret my decision: art still continues to make me intensely happy, and I graduated as a bachelor of fine arts from the Lahti Institute of Fine Arts in 2016, with a focus on printmaking.
My art borrows a lot from the different fields of science and culture I'm interested in: you can easily spot influences of video games, pixel art, medicine, mineralogy and mathematics.
My goal is to illustrate, examine and map out the balance (or imbalance) between chaos and order in the world. I’m interested in these concepts in the graphical but also in a sort of a silly metaphysical sense. What is the interaction between chaos and order like? Which side should mankind strive for? Does perfection lie on either side? Is the search of perfection even a good idea?
I also try to keep both myself and my work both unstable and unserious.
